Background
The sophistication of information technology and communication that transforms Communication with Computer Media to Communication with Electronic Media, is making human interaction from various cultures becomes more intensive both virtually and in reality. Events occur in one part of the world can be a concern and create impact on people in other parts of the world. The socio-historical changes in the macro-community level can directly and rapidly affect biographical life in the micro-individual level. In this kind of situation, we are required to possess competency, both at the individual and community levels, which allows us to wisely understand the socio-cultural changes and the problems of post-modern society. Cultural literacy becomes important and strategic for every individual in establishing effective communication with other individuals with different cultural backgrounds, namely by promoting values such as integrity and universal altruism.
