Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) in collaboration with Universitas Terbuka, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (UNDIKSHA), Universitas Mahendradatta and Kopertis Wilayah VIII organizes the first world conference in educational technology in Indonesia. Educational Technology World Conference (ETWC) 2016 will be held at The Grand Inna Bali Beach Hotel Sanur, Bali, from 31 July – 3 August 2016. This conference is also supported by Association of Educational and Communication Technology (AECT), U.S.A, and Ikatan Profesi Teknologi Pendidikan Indonesia (IPTPI).
 
The keynote and plenary speakers of ETWC 2016 are the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Muhammad Nasir; the Minister of Communication and Informatics, Rudiantara; the Rector of Universitas Terbuka, Tian Belawati; Rob Branch (University of Georgia, USA); CEO Trans Corp, Chairul Tanjung; Mike Spector (University of North Texas, USA); Steve Harmon (Georgia State University); Marcus Childress (Baker University, USA), dan Johannes Cronje (Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa).
 
Under the theme of “Educational Technology to Improve Quality and Access of Education to Prosperous Society”, the conference aims to answer problems in educational technology issues. The conference invites teachers, lecturers, and practitioners in education in order to exchange information and experience and expand the network with other practitioners and professionals in educational technology around the world.
 
Within four days, not less than 291 papers will be presented in the parallel and round table sessions. The presenters are from Indonesia, U.S.A, Norway, Belgium, Turkey, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, U.K., and Taiwan. They will deliver their research papers pertaining the conference subthemes: Innovation and Creativity, Networking and Collaboration, Information, Technology, and Communication Integration, Distance Education, Open Educational Resources, Policy and Cultural Considerations, dan Quality Assurance, Certification, and Accreditation.
 
Beside the keynote speech, plenary, parallel and round table sessions presentation, the MoU signing, university exhibition and socialization, gala dinner and cultural evening also become the important events held in the conference. On the last day of the conference, the committee also invites the participants to visit Tampaksiring Presidential Palace and Museum of Dr. Ir. Sukarno.

Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) bekerja sama dengan Universitas Terbuka (UT), Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (UNDIKSHA), Universitas Mahendradata dan Kopertis Wilayah 8, menyelenggarakan konferensi tingkat dunia pertama di Indonesia dalam bidang teknologi pendidikan yang bertajuk Educational Technology World Conference (ETWC) 2016. Acara ini bertempat di The Grand Inna Bali Beach Hotel Sanur, Bali, tanggal 31 Juli hingga 3 Agustus 2016. Acara ini didukung juga oleh Association of Educational and Communication Technology (AECT) USA dan Ikatan Profesi Teknologi Pendidikan Indonesia (IPTPI).
 
Konferensi dunia dalam bidang teknologi pendidikan ini menghadirkan Keynote Speakers dan Plenary antara lain Menteri Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi, Mohammad Nasir, Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika, Rudiantara, Tian Belawati (Rektor UT), Rob Branch (University of Georgia USA), Chairul Tanjung (CEO Trans Corp), Mike Spector (University of North Texas, USA), Steve Harmon (Georgia State University), Marcus Childress (Baker University, USA), dan Johannes Cronje (Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa).
 
Konferensi yang bertema “Educational Technology to Improve Quality and Access of Education to Prosperous Society” merupakan jawaban terhadap pesatnya perkembangan studi tentang teknologi pendidikan di Indonesia. UNJ sebagai Host, menggandeng UT, UNDHIKSA dan Universitas Mahendradata mengundang para guru, dosen, praktisi pendidikan, dan komunitas yang fokus pada bidang pendidikan di seluruh dunia untuk saling bertukar informasi dan pengalaman serta memperluas jaringan dengan para praktisi dan profesional di bidang teknologi pendidikan di seluruh dunia.
 
Selama 4 hari penyelenggaraan konferensi, sekitar 295 paper akan dipresentasikan oleh para presenter dalam sesi paralel dan round table. Mereka berasal dari 14 negara, antara lain Indonesia, Amerika Serikat, Norwegia, Belgia, Turki, Jepang, Malaysia, Singapura, Inggris, Afrika Selatan, Iran, Brazil, China, China Taipei. Para presenter akan memaparkan artikel dan hasil kajiannya yang berkaitan dengan sub tema konferensi.
 
Sub tema tersebut antara lain Innovation and Creativity, Networking and Collaboration, Information, Technology, and Communication Integration, Distance Education, Open Educational Resources, Policy and Cultural Considerations, dan Quality Assurance, Certification, and Accreditation.
 
Pad a kesempatan konferensi ini, panitia juga mengadakan penandatangan Mou, pameran dan academic reception, gala dinner dan cultural evening. Bahkan di hari terakhir, panitia akan mengajak para peserta konferensi untuk mengunjungi tempat wisata Istana Tampaksiring dan Museum Dr. Ir. Sukarno.
