Prof. Dr. Mei Li

Prof. Dr. Mei Li is the Director of School of the Environment. She is earned her PhD in Botany from Nanjing University and has extensive international academic experience at the University of Guelph- Canada, Hong Kong Baptist University, and the University of Plymouth-UK. Her research focuses on environmental toxicology and health risk assessment, particularly the impacts of emerging environmental contaminants, their interactions with gut microbiota, and ecotoxicological effects on model organisms using toxicogenomics and biomics approaches.

Ms. Hyunjeong Jin

Ms. Hyunjeong Jin works on marine litter and plastic pollution at COBSEA Secretariat, UN Environment Programme. She works with governments, industry, academia and civil society to bridge science and policy and advance evidence-based action across the East Asian Seas region. Her expertise includes ocean governance, knowledge management, and regional and global cooperation on marine litter and plastic pollution. She holds master’s degree in development economics from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris, France.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilesh D. Wagh

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilesh D. Wagh is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, and also serves as Assistant Director at SSBAS, at the sama University. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from NMU, Jalgaon. His research focuses on environmental remediation and sustainability, particularly the phytoremediation of heavy-metal-contaminated soils and the photocatalytic degradation of high-energy material waste using nanoscale catalyst systems.

Dr. Mutia Delina

Dr. Delina is a lecturer in the Department of Physics and the Master’s Program in Environmental Management at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. She is also actively involved in international cooperation and academic collaboration. She earned her Ph.D. in Computational Physics from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, in 2014. Her research interests focus on computational physics and its applications. Her current research is the development of underwater plastic waste detection, utilizing advanced computational and artificial intelligence.
