The International Conference on Education, Language, and Society – ICELS – is an annual event organized by the Postgraduate of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta by taking on annual themes that become a topic trending in science. The 1st ICELS<\/a>, was held at the Postgraduate, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, East Jakarta, Indonesia, by the initiation of the Language Education Study Program, Postgraduate, Universitas Negeri Jakarta in 2019.<\/p> The ICELS activities, in general, are intended to facilitate scientific solutions through presentations and dissemination of research results in the fields of education, language, and social and humanities. In addition, the ICELS activities target the development of the fields of education, language, and social and humanities, strengthening educational curricula, and building and strengthening collaboration between disciplines in interdisciplinary contexts.<\/p> The first ICELS<\/a> event raised the theme of The Strengthening of Education, Language, and Socio-Culture in Creating Quality Human Resources in the Industrial Revolution 4.0<\/em><\/strong>. Then at The 2nd ICELS<\/a> event in 2020, the theme is<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t The Post-Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Jakarta is pleased to welcome all invited speakers, presenters, and participants to THE 2nd\u00a0<\/sup>INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, AND SOCIETY (ICELS \u2013 2)<\/strong>. It is scheduled for September 15-16, 2020 hosted at the Universitas Negeri Jakarta, East Jakarta, Indonesia.<\/p> Science and technology are inseparable from a series of education that includes approaches, methods and strategies. The history of the development of science from ancient Pre-Greek times to contemporary times shows the existence of these series of innovations, especially in the approach variables that have led to the rapid development of science and technology. A scientific approach is needed in seeing philosophically and theoretically scientific phenomena with the aim to mediate ideal methods and strategies in science.<\/p> On the other hand, social and natural dynamics continue to move, and every individual cannot remain silent to only see these dynamic movements, so that all social elements, especially scientific researchers and practitioners, must take part in presenting approaches that are relevant to the phenomenon that is happening. There are still so many phenomena that require ideal scientific approaches to help find the right solution, both for science and social needs. Therefore, philosophical thoughts are needed to serve as a foundation for thinking in working together in the scientific body. This is intended to construct ideal approaches or even reconstruct existing approaches.<\/p> The interrelationships between the fields of science allow for the formation of interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and even cross-disciplinary approaches. This certainly requires space and time for cooperatives and scientific collaboration initiated by researchers and scientific practitioners. Furthermore, the industrial revolution era 4.0 and 5.0 can be a reference for the motivation of technological literacy for researchers and scientific practitioners to continue to develop science and technology through innovative approaches that enable scientific phenomena to be facilitated. Thus, the scientific body can become more ontological, epistemological, and axiological in its development today and in the future.<\/p> Starting from this background, we, as academics at the Jakarta State University, held an international conference because we realized the importance of tertiary institutions as formal educational institutions that play an active role in scientific collaboration to find ideal scientific approaches.
