“Interdisciplinary Approaches in Sport Science: Enhancing Performance, Health, and Global Sport Development”
ICSSPEH 2026 will be held virtually on October 15, 2026 by
Universitas Negeri Jakarta, through the Faculty of Sport Sciences in collaboration with Unnes, UPI and UMT
Sport has become an integral part of human life, not only as a means of maintaining physical fitness and health but also as an important platform for character development, social cohesion, and international collaboration. In the modern era, the advancement of sport cannot rely solely on a single discipline; instead, it requires interdisciplinary collaboration among various fields of sport science to enhance athlete performance, improve public health, and strengthen global sport development.
The development of sport science today involves the integration of multiple disciplines, including sport physiology, biomechanics, psychology, sports medicine, and sport management. Through interdisciplinary approaches, research findings can be applied more effectively in training systems, athlete monitoring, injury prevention, and policy development. These collaborative approaches are essential in building sustainable sport systems and improving athletic performance at both national and international levels.
Universitas Negeri Jakarta, through the Faculty of Sport Sciences, continues to play an active role in advancing sport science research, education, and collaboration. One of the initiatives to strengthen academic exchange and international cooperation is through the International Conference on Sport Science, Physical Education and Health (ICSSPEH).
ICSSPEH is a biennial academic forum that brings together researchers, academics, practitioners, and policy makers to exchange knowledge and discuss current developments in sport science and physical education. The first ICSSPEH conference was held in 2022, followed by the second conference in 2024, which successfully gathered participants and speakers from various countries.
Building upon the success of previous conferences, the 3rd International Conference on Sport Science, Physical Education and Health (ICSSPEH) 2026 will continue this tradition by promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among global experts in sport science.
Through this international conference, participants will have the opportunity to share research findings, discuss innovative approaches in sport science, and strengthen global networks that support the advancement of sport performance, athlete health, and sustainable sport development worldwide.
